Welcome to the beginner’s guide to vaping Delta-8 THC. You may be familiar with using Delta-9 vapes, but Delta-8 is another beast altogether. The lesser-known cannabinoid isn’t so “lesser-known” any longer, and as it gains popularity like a runaway train, we at Eighty Six consider it our mission to keep people informed about its benefits.
We want to teach you how to use Delta-8 cartridges. More than that, we want to let you know everything you can expect when you use one. Delta-8 simply isn’t the same thing as Delta-9, and you shouldn’t go about vaping it with the expectation that those experiences will be the same. So let us be your Delta-8 Sherpa. We can tell you everything you need to know before you try one of our cartridges. Just a warning, though — by the time we’re done, you’re going to want to try a cart for yourself. Don’t worry, though. We can help you out with that, as well.
How to Vape Delta-8
Vaping Delta-8 THC is easy, even for beginners. You need a battery or a rig — that’s the part that holds the cartridge. It’s not hard to find one at your local smoke shop or dispensary. You’ll want a “female” battery because the Delta-8 cartridges will need to screw into it. Some batteries and carts work the other way around. It’s always important to pay attention to the cartridges you want to buy — there’s nothing worse than discovering that your cartridge won’t fit into your rig.
If you're actively looking for your next perfect setup, we wrote a guide on a few recommended batteries. This is where "personal preference" comes into play as every user is different. Some may prefer a harder-hitting device, whereas others may prefer a longer-lasting battery that can allow you to enjoy your favorite Delta-8 cartridge flavors all day. Check out the guide!
Once you have your setup complete, you’re ready to begin. Vaping is a cleaner, easier way to get high than what you may experience with Delta-9 flower. There are no lighters involved. More often than not, you simply need to push a button on the battery and suck on the cartridge. You can take a big hit or a small one, depending on what you’re comfortable with and what feels right. Hold the vapor in your lungs for a few seconds, then exhale. That’s it! That’s how to use a Delta-8 cartridge. Simple, right?
In learning how to use a Delta-8 cartridge, you need to understand a few details about the cartridges themselves. At Eighty Six, we use authentic CCELL® technology. They allow you to get the full experience from vaping Delta-8 THC. Our cartridges ensure maximum potency thanks to the ceramic heating element in each cart. The state-of-the-art design prevents any charring of the wick, which means it won’t heat up so much that the cart begins to taste burnt. Every hit of the vape results in flavorful, powerful clouds.
Our cartridges are designed to make vaping as effortless as possible. There’s no need to worry about maintenance or disposal. The materials used to make the carts are food-grade and medical-grade. That leads to consistently dense clouds, plus it means that you can toss the cartridge safely. It also ensures that you won’t have to deal with any leakage. A leaking cartridge is the pits. Not only does it waste distillate, which is a travesty, but it also makes a mess. Fortunately, that’s not an issue when you vape with Eighty Six.
Choosing a Flavor
You’re spoiled for choice once you’re ready to start vaping Delta-8, at least when you shop at Eighty Six. We have a variety of strains available, many of them deliciously fruity. Boo Berry is a big favorite, not to mention a name that you may know if you’re familiar with popular Delta-9 strains. Cookie Monsta another bestseller, which you can get your hands on right here.
If you’re into fruity flavors, then we have you covered there, too. Experiment with Cereal Killer OG for a fruity-licious buzz. Grape Soda will give you a punch, all right. You’ll be floating on purple clouds for as long as you like. All the strawberry lovers out there should try Berry Slush, which provides an irresistible high.
Delta-8 vs. Nicotine
Vaping Delta-8 is different from vaping nicotine, and not just because you smoke nicotine and THC differently. Although nicotine vapes don’t smell as bad as cigarettes, and you aren’t dealing with tar and things of that nature, it’s still an addictive habit. Nicotine liquids obviously contain nicotine, just like cigarettes. Although some people may become addicted to weed, most people agree that, for the majority, weed is not an addictive substance.
Delta-8 vs. Delta-9
Delta-8 THC can be extracted in a variety of ways, even synthetically made, but it still comes from hemp. Delta-9 is much more potent, so vaping Delta-8 is not the same as vaping a Delta-9 cartridge. Delta-9 THC is much more intense than Delta-8. When you vape a Delta-9 cartridge, you get that notoriously high feeling.
Plenty of people also describe feeling anxious and paranoid when they hit a Delta-9 vape too hard. There’s also a bit of a crash when you come down. It’s not withdrawal or anything like that, but the surge of energy you experience after vaping Delta-9 ends quickly. It can leave you feeling tired, a little cranky, and possibly hungry with a bad case of the munchies.
Vaping Delta-8 THC products promises a milder, more pleasant high. There’s no paranoia, no anxiety, and no crash. You don’t have to worry about hitting the vape too hard. We don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty preferable to us. What do you think? Is it time to switch over to Delta-8?
