This is the Deta-8 Concentrates review you’ve been looking for!

With the explosion of Delta-8 lately, there’s a lot of questionable information floating around the internet. We’re here to do a few things: talk about Delta-8 concentrates, how to use Delta-8 as a concentrate, and to clear up any misinformation. We also have some awesome product recommendations to make for you too.

As Delta-8 continues to grow in popularity, there are more and more products making themselves available. There are a lot of terms being used that you might not be familiar with. Delta-8 Concentrates may be a term you’re not entirely sure of. If you want to learn more about what concentrates are and how to use them, keep reading. We’ll cover all that and more down below.

What is Delta-8?

Before we jump into what Delta-8 concentrates are, let’s briefly go over what Delta-8 is.

Delta-8 Tetrahydrocannabinol, or Delta-8 THC, is a minor cannabinoid that occurs naturally in both cannabis and hemp plants. It causes a psychoactive high in similar fashion to traditional marijuana’s counterpart active cannabinoid, Delta-9 THC albeit, the experience is much more mild and controllable. Delta-8 has become prevalent in recent years due to the federal government effectively legalizing its purchase and consumption as a hemp derivative.

Despite Delta-8 being a naturally-derived cannabinoid, it’s only present in very small quantities. Therefore, brands such as Eighty Six rely on a process called isomerization, which takes more-abundant cannabinoids such as hemp-derived cannabidiol, or CBD, to synthesize larger volumes of Delta-8.

You can expect to find Delta-8 in just about every type of product ranging from Vape Cartridges to Disposable Vape Pens and even edibles, pre-rolls, and universal-applications such as dab syringes, to name a few.

What is a Delta-8 Concentrate?

So, what is a Delta-8 concentrate?

Delta-8 concentrates are exactly what it sounds like – a highly concentrated form of the Delta-8 cannabinoid. It is the final product of a long process of refinement and distillation that leaves a very concentrated amount of the cannabinoid.

Delta-8 concentrates are typically created in a lab through a process called isomerization, which effectively takes more-abundant cannabinoids such as CBD and converts it into Delta-8 to then be manufactured into products such as vapes, pre-rolls (as a distillate infused into hemp flower), and edibles.

What are the Best Delta-8 Concentrates?

Technically speaking, just about everything Eighty Six offers is considered a concentrate. This is because distillates are a form of concentrates that leverage isolating the Delta-8 THC cannabinoid to ensure potency and purity then adding in terpenes for its distinct flavor and functionality. Therefore, the following product recommendations encompasses just about everything!

1. Jen & Berry’s Delta-8 THC Disposable

Ice cream fans are sure to love this delicious vape. Packed with one gull gram of Delta-8 THC distillate, this pen is both potent and effective. Vaping is, after all, one of the most popular ways to enjoy Delta-8. And with yummy flavor combinations that compliment the exotic strain crosses, you can expect a pleasurable and delicious Delta-8 experience from beginning-to-end.

2. Boo Berry Delta-8 THC Syringe

Delta-8 Syringes offer a unique and fun way to experience Delta-8. Instead of vaping, smoking, and eating it, using a syringe to apply a delicious, aromatic, and most importantly, a potent distillate onto a dabbing rig is one of the most powerful ways to enjoy getting elevated.

Dabs, after all, are concentrated forms of cannabis that come in a variety of textures. And regardless of the texture, the act of taking a dab relies on an incredible amount of heat as the concentrate is flash vaporized to achieve superior flavor and an intense psychoactive experience off just one dab alone!

3. Midnight Melon Delta-8 THC Gummies

Satisfy your sweet tooth while also indulging in a smooth, long-lasting, and intense high of Delta-8 with a few gummies. These edibles are made with 30MG of Delta-8 distillate infused per piece. Start with half of a piece to get your bearings going and only opting to increase your dosage after the two-hour mark.

Those are just three of the many Delta-8 products we offer on our site. Take some time to shop around and decide on the best product for you.

How Do You Use Delta-8 Syringes

As we mentioned above, Delta-8 Syringes are a universal application tool that allows you to add your favorite Eighty Six strains and flavors to just about anything and everything you can possibly smoke or vape.

And since Syringes contain just the oil, one of the most popular ways to enjoy them is by dabbing a small amount onto a torched nail and inhaled.

How would one safely, comfortably, and enjoyably experience a dab using one of our Delta-8 Syringes, though? Read on to learn everything there is to know about it!

Before We Start: What are the Benefits of Dabbing Versus Any Other Consumption Method?

Fact: dabbing isn’t for everyone, especially if you’re new to cannabis. However, when done safely with clean, tested products, there are several advantages to it.

Potency

We all have those friends that swear by dabbing. One of the most popular reasons people dab is rooted in potency. Those that suffer from high tolerance and refuse or cannot take a T-break often need something significantly stronger.

Flavor

Dabs are typically flavorful and “terpy,” meaning the terpene profile that came from the extract are typically retained. In the case of Eighty Six distillates, both hemp-derived, strain-specific terpenes and botanically-derived terpenes are added to the Delta-8 distillate giving off an accurate representation of how the strain is supposed to taste with the added experience of attaching familiar flavors you’d likely experience if you ate the real food.

Despite dabs requiring extreme heat, the high itself is cleaner than smoking and vaping. This is because when you smoke, the burned plant matter produces resin and hot smoke which can strain your lungs. And when you cough, you are constantly pulling in more air thus perpetuating a more intense high.

Cleaner High

Concentrates that are torched are effectively flash vaporized, eliminating unwanted by-products while still delivering a well-balanced psychoactive experience.

What Will You Need to Take a Dab?

To take a dab using one of our Delta-8 Syringes, you’d need either a dab rig. A dab rig consists of a water pipe that looks very similar to a bong with a chamber that holds water for cooling the vapor down. And instead of a bowl to hold flower, you are using a nail, which is torched red hot as you apply the Delta-8 distillate for vaporization.

Beyond the rig and nail itself, you will need:

  • Carb Cap. A small piece that is placed on top of the hot nail after the concentrate is dropped in. The Carb Cap helps to regulate airflow when inhaling.
  • Torch. To take a dab, you’d need to vaporize the concentrate at an upwards of 550F. Any torch would do for this.
  • Dab Tool. All concentrates – whether they’re distillate, diamonds, live resin badder, etc – are sticky, viscous liquids. Dab Tools are probably one of the most important tools to have. Luckily, the Eighty Six Syringes eliminate the need of these as you can simply squeeze out your desired amount onto the nail directly.

How to Take a Dab

To take a dab that is both potent and flavorful, you need to leverage time and how it affects temperature. Take the dab too soon and the temperature is too hot, leading you to one painful and flavorless coughing fit while still maintaining an almost-debilitating-like high. To take the perfect dab, we recommend torching the nail, waiting 45 seconds for it cool then going at it. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  • Step 1: Turn on your torch and aim the flame directly at the bottom of the nail. You’re going to want to keep the flame going at the nail until it’s red hot. The goal of this are two parts: 1) You need the nail to be hot enough to vaporize the concentrate, and 2) Torching the nail to this extent burns off any residue from the previous session.
  • Step 2: Once the nail is hot, turn off the torch. Let the nail cool for about 45 – 60 seconds. If you have a smart home device such as a Google Home or an Alexa, you can tell it to time it for you (Honestly, this is your best home investment if you are a seasoned dabber).
  • Step 3: After the timer runs out, apply your concentrate directly to the nail. While you are doing this, you should be inhaling slowly to pull in the vapor through the rest of the rig. Be sure to evenly distribute the concentrate to maximize what remains of the heat.
  • Step 4: Now that the concentrate has been added to the nail in full, add the carb cap to the top of the nail and inhale your fullest capacity.
  • Step 5: Exhale and enjoy your high!

One pro-tip: Because you are inhaling from the better part of a couple minutes, exhaling the vapor will likely lead to a coughing session. To avoid this, exhale as sharply as you can, making sure you are expelling ALL of the vapor from your lungs. After fully exhaling, take one more sharp inhale of oxygen. This effectively resets your lungs while evening out your high.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the most important thing to keep in mind when trying out a Delta-8 concentrate product is quality. You can very well have the best dabbing routine locked down but if the product itself isn’t the best thing out in the market, what is the point?

Make sure you are doing your due diligence on both the brand and its products. How transparent is the brand? How often do they test their products with third-party testing labs?

At Eighty Six, we pride ourselves on not only producing some of the loudest hemp-derived psychoactive cannabinoids in the country, but we go that extra mile in ensuring that the products are the most potent and pure extracts you can enjoy.
